Position Overview The Middle School Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, standards-aligned instruction to students in grades 6-8. The ideal candidate creates a classroom environment that encourages inquiry, critical thinking, and hands-on exploration, while supporting students' academic and personal growth. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver rigorous, engaging science instruction aligned with the Massachusetts Science and Technology/Engineering Standards
• Foster a classroom culture that promotes curiosity, creativity, and respect
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including lab work, project-based learning, and technology integration
• Assess student progress regularly and use data to inform instruction
• Collaborate closely with the Middle School team to support interdisciplinary learning and student success
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Support the mission and values of Blessed Sacrament School in all aspects of school life Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level
• Massachusetts teaching licensure (or working toward licensure) preferred
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• A genuine love of science and the ability to share that enthusiasm with students
• Commitment to professional growth and collaboration
• Willingness to actively participate in the school community
