Immediately Job Description Aviation Powerplant summer school will run from June 23- July 17, 2025. Other than holidays, class will be conducted Monday thru Friday from 7:00 AM
- 2:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive FAA approved aviation powerplant maintenance training program
- Instruct students in a variety of aviation powerplant maintenance disciplines in accordance with curriculum directives, including engine breakdown and reassembly, electrical systems, fire detection, and powerplant maintenance.
- Evaluate student performance and provide regular feedback to students and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance in accordance with regulatory guidance.
- Collaborate with other instructors and program administrators to continuously improve the training program
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in aviation maintenance technology
Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of aircraft parts, systems, and mechanics.
- Current A&P license or 3 years of Aviation experience in servicing, handling, teaching, work with and on aircraft.
MUST HAVE A STRONG MECHANICAL APTITUDE.
- Strong management and organizational skills
- Proficient with Federal Aviation Administration Orders
- Proficient with Federal Aviation Administration Advisory Circulars
- Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel Work is generally conducted at Westfield Technical Academy's Aviation Department Hangar 2, located at Westfield Barnes Airport.
