Aug 31, 2026 Job Description St. Mary's Parish School is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Middle School English Language Arts Teacher for grades 7 and 8. The ideal candidate will be passionate about literature, writing, and language instruction, while also embracing the unique vocation of teaching within a Catholic school setting. This teacher will play a vital role in helping students develop strong reading, writing, critical thinking, and communication skills, while also integrating Catholic values and fostering moral and spiritual growth. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, standard aligned lessons in English Language Arts for grades 7 and 8
  • Teach reading comprehension, literary analysis, grammar, vocabulary, and writing across multiple genres
  • Foster a classroom environment that reflects Catholic values, respect, and a love of learning
  • Integrate faith-based perspectives where appropriate across the curriculum
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Collaborate with faculty and participate actively in school life and community events
  • Uphold school policies and contribute to a positive, disciplined, and nurturing environment
