Aug 24, 2026 Job Description The Middle School Math Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality instruction aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and district goals. This role includes assessing student progress, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture, and collaborating with colleagues and families to support student success. Key Responsibilities Design and implement engaging, standards-aligned lessons with clear and measurable objectives. Establish and maintain a structured classroom environment with high academic and behavioral expectations. Build strong, respectful relationships with students and promote a positive classroom community. Deliver differentiated instruction that meets the diverse needs of learners and connects to prior knowledge and real-world relevance. Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instruction. Collaborate with colleagues to analyze student data, plan interventions, and refine instructional practices. Support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans through collaboration with specialists and participation in team meetings. Communicate effectively and regularly with families regarding student progress. Engage in ongoing professional learning, reflect on instructional practices, and incorporate feedback to improve student outcomes. Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the building principal in alignment with contractual agreements.
