The program currently works with 871 young people - 485 Baltimore City youth ages 9-23 and 386 independent school students - through sites at The St. Paul's Schools, Gilman School, The Bryn Mawr School, and McDonogh School. The Opportunity Bridges is searching for high school elective teachers with interest and expertise in the following subjects: Engineering/Architecture; Civics/Community Engagement; Animation/Graphic Design; Entrepreneurship; Photography/Videography; Creative Writing; Contemporary Literature; Environmental Science/Policy/Environmental Racism; Performing Arts/Improvisation. Elective teachers will work as a part of Bridges' High School Summer Jobs Program. This is an opportunity for excellent teachers with a passion for a subject to craft their own curriculum. Before the summer, teachers will be in communication with the Senior Director and will be asked to participate in one meeting in April or May 2026. Teachers will submit course plans and requests for materials by May 1, 2026.
