Header Overview Join our dynamic educational team as a 6-12th Teacher, where your passion for fostering growth and development will inspire students to reach their full potential. In this vital role, you will create engaging learning environments, develop tailored curricula, and support diverse learners across various age groups and abilities. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with educational standards and individual student needs. Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate students with disabilities, including those with autism, visual impairments, or developmental disabilities. Collaborate with specialists such as speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and occupational therapists to support student progress. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring specialized support. Incorporate learning technology and instructional design principles to enhance engagement and understanding. Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and ongoing observations; provide constructive feedback to students and parents. Facilitate early childhood education activities, preschool programs, or toddler care as needed, ensuring age-appropriate learning experiences. Support literacy, math, physical education, music therapy, recreational therapy, and other subject areas to promote holistic development. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance data, behavioral reports, and lesson plans. Mentor fellow educators and provide guidance on classroom management techniques and instructional best practices. Skills Proven experience in classroom management within diverse educational settings; prior private school or Montessori experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of special education practices, including IEP development and implementation. Expertise in working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or sensory impairments such as visual impairments. Proficiency in learning technology tools and instructional design software to create engaging lessons. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, parents, colleagues, and specialists. Ability to adapt teaching methods for early intervention programs or preschool environments; experience in toddler care is advantageous. Familiarity with behavioral health strategies including applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavioral therapy techniques. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and literacy education best practices. Passion for mentoring students and fostering a supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes social-emotional growth.
