Full Job Description Job Description:
The Katherine Thomas School is a private special education school that services students with language, learning, sensory motor disabilities and moderate to high functioning autism. This is a full-time position for the 2026/2027 school year working with students in middle school. Hours are 8:30am
  • 4:15pm.
EOE Annual salary range of $62,000 to $85.000, depending on experience and level of education. Join a great team of professionals!! Responsibilities of the math teacher include: Develop instruction following the Maryland State Curriculum providing necessary accommodations to meet individual, group, and program needs Teach students to utilize assistive technology Write and implement IEPs Create a supportive learning environment Create partnerships with parents and the KTS community Be an expert in differentiating grade level curriculum so that students in these classes can access the curriculum Must be able to work in the US, no sponsorship available.
Experience and Skills:
Required Experience for the
Math Teacher:
Bachelors Degree (Special Education or content area) MD Special Education Teaching Certificate Eligibility (REQUIRED) Experience working with children on the spectrum in a school environment is preferred Enjoy working as part of a team Reliability Professional attitude and demeanor
