Fifth Grade Teacher, 2026-27 School Year St. Martin's-in-the-Field Episcopal School is an accredited, co-educational independent day school in Severna Park, MD, enrolling 240 students (Preschool-8th Grade). St. Martin's promotes a love of inquiry, a sustaining faith, a call to service, and a generous spirit open to new ideas. St. Martin's is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Fifth Grade Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be energetic, flexible, and child-focused and will have a genuine interest in joining a small and collaborative school community and providing a positive learning experience for each student. This person would also embrace the families at the school and demonstrate a passion for helping children develop socially, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.Position:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Fifth Grade Teacher to join our vibrant teaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting student growth, and maintaining a positive classroom culture.Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and educational standards Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive Provide academic support, individualized instruction, and differentiated learning strategies Use data to assess student progress, track achievements, and identify areas for improvement Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and conduct Participate in school-wide events, meetings, and professional development Maintain a safe and organized classroom space Contribute to the broader school community through collaboration with other teachers and staffQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, or a related field Teaching certification preferred (but not required) Experience teaching preferred Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to develop creative and engaging lessons that address the diverse needs of students Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to creating an inclusive and respectful learning environmentPhysical Demands:
