Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Lead Teacher / Deputy School Supervisor to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. You will lead classroom activities, support curriculum development, and assist in administrative responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the school. Your enthusiasm for working with children and commitment to their development will inspire both students and staff alike. Key responsibilities Teaching and learning Teach assigned grade level(s) and subject areas using engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction. Prepare lesson plans, assessments, classroom activities, and learning materials aligned with school goals. Differentiate instruction to support varied learning needs and learning styles. Monitor student progress, maintain records, and communicate student growth and needs. Instructional leadership Strong skills in Lesson Planning and Education to develop, implement, and evaluate effective teaching materials and strategies Support the Head of School with day-to-day academic supervision and coordination. Model strong instructional practice, classroom management, and professional conduct. Help maintain consistency in lesson planning, student expectations, routines, and academic quality. Assist with curriculum implementation, review of instructional materials, and continuous improvement efforts. Teacher support and operations Provide peer support and practical guidance to teachers in planning and classroom management. Participate in teacher meetings, school planning, student support, and launch preparation activities. Assist with schedules, classroom coverage, discipline processes, and school routines as assigned. Help ensure that school policies and Christ-centered values are reflected in daily operations. Family and community engagement Build positive relationships with parents and guardians. Communicate professionally regarding student progress, school expectations, and concerns. Represent the mission and vision of the school to families and community stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field (Master's preferred). Strong skills in Lesson Planning and Education to develop, implement, and evaluate effective teaching materials and strategies. Proficiency in Teaching and Training to support the development of both students and educational staff. Exceptional Communication skills for fostering productive relationships with colleagues, students, and parents/guardians. Experience in leadership roles within educational settings is an asset. Professional teaching certification or licensure applicable to the state of Maryland is a plus. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
