Job Description

Overview We're looking for an energetic, proactive, caring, and creative School Age Lead Teacher (ages 6-12) to join our team! If you love working with children, creating fun learning experiences, and making a positive impact every day, we'd love to meet you! This is a split-shift position with hours Monday-Friday from 6:30AM- 9:00AM (before care) and 3:00PM-6:00PM (after care) - perfect for someone looking for a flexible schedule while still building experience in education and child development. The ideal candidate is dependable, positive, and passionate about helping children grow socially, emotionally, and academically. You'll help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where kids can learn, explore, and thrive. From leading creative activities and interactive lesson plans to building meaningful connections with students, every day brings something new and rewarding. We're seeking someone who: Brings enthusiasm, patience, and positivity each day Is active and proactive Enjoys creating fun and age-appropriate activities for school-age children Can confidently manage a school-age group while building strong relationships Supports each child's individual growth and interests Works well as part of a collaborative and supportive team If you're school-age staff qualified, passionate about education, enjoy being active and creative, and want to make a difference in children's lives, we'd love for you to apply! Qualifications (Please Read): (1) Be 19 years old or older (2) Hold a high school diploma or a certificate of high school equivalence or have successfully completed courses for credit from an accredited college or university; (3) Have completed 3 clock hours of approved training in Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance; B. The candidate shall meet one of the following: (a) 6 semester hours or 90 clock hours or their equivalent of approved preservice training; OR (b) 9 clock hours of approved preservice training in communicating with staff, parents, and the public, or at least one academic college course for credit; and (c) One of the following: (i) 400 hours of experience working under supervision primarily with school age children in a licensed child care center, public or private school, or similar setting, or 400 hours of experience caring for school age children as a registered family childcare provider; (ii) 1 year of college; or (iii) A combination of experience and college that together are equivalent to 1 year
Additionally:
Excellent communications skills, team spirit and dependability are a must. Driver's license preferred. Fluent Spanish preferred but not required.
