WHAT WE NEED

1. Valid State Teacher Certification Granted by the Professional Teaching Standards Board. 2. Bachelor's Degree with a major or minor in Music Education (000JX) 3. Evidence of ability to establish working relationships that result in mutual respect. 4. Ability to speak clearly and concisely, both in oral and written communication. 5. Strong interpersonal and public relations skills.

: Building Principals

JOB GOAL

The primary purpose of this position is to provide and guide students to achieve musical expression and understanding

WHAT YOU NEED

1. Works cooperatively with administrators, student services personnel, and teachers. 2. Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is an essential function of the job. 3. Provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil, to the extent feasible. 4. Work with other music teachers in the school system to ensure a continuous and correlated development through all levels of choir instruction 5. Publish and distribute a calendar of Choir Events that coordinate with all other school events. 6. Maintains control of storage and use of school-owned property. 7. Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district, and/or in self-selected professional growth activities. 8. Communicates with parents and school counselors on pupil progress. 9. Participates in curriculum and other developmental programs. 10. Work with the building principals in preparing a program budget. 11. Other duties as related to this specific job.
