Qualifications:

Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate Bachelor's degree in Robotics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field preferred Displays a high degree of knowledge in teaching pedagogy at the middle level Adept in best teaching practices, core ideas, and crosscutting concepts. Applies sound principles of learning and motivation in the planning, delivery and assessment phases of instructional delivery Commitment to the district's school improvement process and curriculum development Experience and knowledge of quality instruction and classroom management Establishes positive relationships with students, parents, and school personnel Ability to communicate well at various levels with students, parents, and school personnel Evidence of a positive attitude and human relation skills Evidence of high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in personal and professional matters High level of flexibility

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

? Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cover a range of computer science and robotics topics, such as programming, algorithms, data structures, and robotic design, programming software engineering, and automation ? Facilitate hands-on learning experiences, including robotics projects and coding workshops, to develop students' problem-solving, critical thinking, and technical skills ? Incorporate the use of various technologies, such as programming languages, software applications, and robotics kits, to enhance the learning experience ? Integrate emerging technologies and industry best practices into the curriculum to ensure students are well-equipped for future STEM careers ? Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students ? Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to align curriculum and ensure a cohesive educational experience ? Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer science and robotics education ? Serve as a mentor and coach to help students explore their interests in STEM fields ? Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students' curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking
