Ex Officio Members include:
Hennepin Technical College & North Hennepin Community College. Our mission is to coordinate a system of high-quality, accessible and fully resourced opportunities that lead to an increase in high school graduation and pathways to college or career and safety & wellbeing.

Elevate Youth! is a 6-week summer program providing up to 150 youth with over 100 hours of free, joy-centered, youth-informed programming. The program operates at three BBAY partner sites,with rotating weekly themes and community partners. Each site will host 40-50 youth (rising 9th
  • 12th graders) and be supported by 2 Site Leaders, 2 BrookLynk Interns, and rotating Subject Matter Experts (SME).
Site Leaders are the consistent adult presence at one program site for the entire 6 weeks. Site Leaders set the tone, manage group dynamics, ensure safety, and build strong relationships with youth. Site Leads play a critical role in aligning daily operations with the program's focus on learning through joy and the Youth Program Quality Assessment (YPQA) standards.

The ideal candidate has a passion for serving and a relationship with the Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park community. Additionally, they have the knowledge, skills and attitudes that are rooted in anti-racist practices to authentically work to dismantle oppressive practices that block youth leadership, voice and positive community change.

Reports To:
Youth & Community Engagement Initiatives CoordinatorProgram Supervision & Support Serve as the program primary point of emergency contact and ensure established policies and procedures are followed. Oversee daily operations and group flow at your assigned site. Ensure a physically and emotionally safe environment for all youth by following policies and procedures. Collaborate with BrookLynk interns and rotating SMEs to support smooth transitions and activity delivery. Monitor attendance, engagement, and behavioral trends. Youth Engagement & Relationship-Building Build positive, consistent relationships with youth participants. Provide social-emotional support and reinforce expectations with empathy. Model inclusive, respectful communication and behavior. Create and maintain a welcoming space where youth feel seen, valued, and celebrated. Team CollaborationPartner with your BrookLynk Intern and support their development as a peer leader. Integrate Subject Matter Expert (SME) content into the day's structure. Communicate daily with BBAY Elevate Youth! program leadership about site highlights, needs, and concerns.
