DESCRIPTION

St. Therese Catholic School of Deephaven is seeking a Middle School Math Teacher who is responsible for spreading joy and creating a positive learning environment where students grow cognitively, spiritually and emotionally. This position will hold additional middle school teaching or technology support duties based on the strengths of the candidate. This is a full time, 10-month position with benefits. St. Therese is a large and established parish with solid liturgical life, established faith formation programs, a beautiful school, consecrated sisters, many volunteers, a vibrant music ministry, many volunteers and service projects and a wonderful location to be of service to Christ. QUALIFICATIONS

Maintain current licensure or be working toward Minnesota teacher certification. Ability to plan, organize and meet deadlines. Establish and maintain a classroom climate that is conducive to learning. Prepare written lesson plans including learning goals, instructional methods and resource materials. Utilize technology and current research in instruction. Follow standards and use selected school wide curriculum, supplementing when necessary. Monitor student progress regularly and adjust instruction/resources accordingly. This position does not require that the employee be Catholic. It is expected, however, that all employees will respect Catholic doctrine and religious practices. The starting pay range for this position is $35,000-65,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
