In this energetic role, you will lead engaging activities that inspire children to explore new interests, develop essential skills, and build confidence. Duties Plan and deliver diverse after-school programs that include arts, sports, theater, tutoring, and other enrichment activities tailored to students' interests and developmental levels Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to child safety protocols and maintaining a secure environment Incorporate elements of early childhood education, special education strategies, and childhood development principles into daily activities Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or behavioral issues Collaborate with school staff, parents, and caregivers to support each child's individual needs and progress Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages teamwork, creativity, and personal growth among students Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp counseling, tutoring, babysitting, or after-school programs Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Familiarity with early childhood education, special education accommodations, or childhood development best practices Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not required; training can be provided if necessary Experience in sports coaching, theater arts, or counseling is a plus for enriching program offerings Demonstrated ability to engage children of various ages in educational and recreational activities with patience and enthusiasm Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, students, and families This role is perfect for passionate individuals eager to inspire young minds through energetic leadership and creative programming.
