Role:
Hi, DeafBlind Interveners! Ampersand Therapy is hiring DeafBlind Interveners for school-based positions supporting students with combined vision and hearing loss. In this role, you'll provide support that helps students access communication, instruction, social interaction, and environmental information throughout the school day. You'll work closely with educational teams to help students build independence, communication skills, and meaningful participation in school activities.

What You'll Do:
Provide consistent support to students who are DeafBlind throughout the instructional day Facilitate access to classroom instruction, environmental information, and school activities Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and educational teams to implement IEP goals Collect data and monitor student progress as directed by the educational team Adapt communication and instructional strategies based on individual student needs Maintain a safe, supportive, and consistent learning environment
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with students with sensory impairments, multiple disabilities, or complex communication needs preferred Knowledge of DeafBlindness, communication systems, and assistive strategies preferred Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary school teams Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills School-based experience preferred, not required
