Middle School Social Studies Teacher Haverhill Cooperative Middle School- North Haverhill, NH 2026-2027 School Year Haverhill Cooperative Middle School is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Social Studies teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate is passionate about middle level education and understands the unique developmental needs of young adolescents. This educator will design and deliver engaging, rigorous Social Studies instruction that promotes critical thinking, civic awareness, and a love of learning.Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement high-quality Social Studies instruction aligned with state standards
- Create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Assess student progress and use data to inform instruction
- Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and team-based approaches
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
- Contribute positively to the school community
Qualifications:
- Valid New Hampshire teaching certification in Social Studies (or eligibility for certification)
- Strong understanding of middle level philosophy and best practices
- Demonstrated ability to build meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to creating a student-centered classroom environment
