Middle School Religion Teacher

Overview The St. Francis Cathedral School is a Catholic Pre-K to 8th grade school in the Diocese of Metuchen (Metuchen, NJ) with over 400 students. The St. Francis educational model offers a holistic approach to all subject areas that recognizes each child's unique gifts while being mindful of their needs as learners. Our faculty and staff are continually striving to be excellent in their craft of teaching by implementing current research-based best practices and integrating the time-honored principles of education rooted in the Catholic liberal tradition. Our approach to education is infused with the formation of each student's spiritual life, moral character, and the development of the virtues, especially those of respect, justice, and responsibility, as each student is prepared for high school and beyond. The St. Francis Cathedral School is looking for a Middle School Religion Teacher who is committed and faithful to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and Magisterium. We are also looking for a candidate who is mission driven, faithful, dynamic, and is, or has the capacity to grow into, a highly effective instructor to meet the developmental intellectual and spiritual needs of our students. In addition to instructional responsibilities, the teacher is responsible for collaborating and planning with colleagues, engaging in relationships with parents and community members, participating in professional development opportunities, and addressing the needs of the whole child.
