Middle School Hebrew Language Teacher 2026-27

Solomon Schechter Day School of Bergen County is a warm, inclusive Jewish Day School that educates children from Early Childhood through Eighth Grade with a vigorous dual curriculum in General and Judaic studies. We are seeking a collaborative, experienced, and skilled MS Hebrew Language Teacher to support students in grades 5-8. The teacher will create and implement innovative instructional experiences for the classroom. The candidate will be a role model who can help foster our students' personal and academic growth, implement a variety of instructional strategies, and who has familiarity with the latest educational models to enhance student learning for the 21st century.

Responsibilities:

To teach Hebrew as a second language. Maintain a warm, well-organized, safe, classroom environment. Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote the development of self-esteem and independence Collaborate with teachers to support differentiation and modify assignments as needed for students. Support student growth to foster student development of language skills. Experience in teaching with Neta / Bishvil Ha'Ivrit Curriculum preferred

Qualifications:

Must possess Bachelor's Degree in Education/ Master's Degree preferred Must have 3-5 years teaching experience This position is four days per week.

Salary range:
