Middle School / High School Computer Teacher

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School / High School Computer Teacher to inspire students and foster a love for technology and computer science. Duties Develop and deliver comprehensive computer science curricula tailored to middle and high school levels, incorporating topics such as programming, digital literacy, and cybersecurity. Create interactive lesson plans that integrate learning technology tools to enhance student engagement and understanding. Assess student progress through assignments, projects, standardized testing, and classroom participation; provide constructive feedback to support improvement. Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a positive learning environment conducive to active participation and collaboration. Mentor students in their academic pursuits, offering guidance on project work, research initiatives, and college or career planning related to technology fields. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, extracurricular activities, and school-wide initiatives to promote STEM education. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance assessments in accordance with school policies. Requirements Must have Nevada Teaching credential in Computer Literacy K-12 Must have the ability to teach Advanced Placement Computer Science Principles Starting Salary $55,000 a year Substitute credentials will not be entertained for this position
