Job Description

Begin Your Teaching Career at Brighter Choice Charter School for Boys Brighter Choice Charter School for Boys is seeking dedicated, motivated, and student-centered individuals to join our team as Teaching Fellows for the 2026-2027 school year. The Teaching Fellow position is designed for individuals who have earned a Bachelor's degree and are interested in developing into a full-time classroom teacher. Teaching Fellows work alongside experienced educators while receiving coaching, mentorship, and hands-on classroom experience that prepares them for future teaching opportunities. This position is ideal for recent college graduates, career changers, aspiring educators, and individuals interested in pursuing teacher certification while gaining valuable classroom experience.
In This Role, You Will:
Support classroom instruction in partnership with lead teachers Provide academic support to individual scholars and small groups Assist in creating a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment Reinforce school-wide expectations and classroom routines Support student learning in literacy, mathematics, and other content areas Monitor student progress and assist with interventions designed to accelerate achievement Build strong relationships with scholars, families, and staff Participate in coaching, professional development, and collaborative planning opportunities Assist with school events, arrival, dismissal, and other school-wide responsibilities

Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Have experience working with children through schools, tutoring programs, youth organizations, coaching, camps, or community programs Are interested in pursuing a career in education and developing into a lead teacher Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills Are committed to educational equity and student achievement Thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment Why Brighter Choice?
