Middle School/High School Multiple Teaching Vacancies Unity Academy for Boys Oklahoma City, OK Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $30 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Tuition reimbursement Flexible schedule Qualifications Curriculum development Tutoring Working with children Classroom experience Teaching Full Job Description Overview We are seeking passionate and dedicated educators to fill multiple teaching vacancies across middle and high school levels (Grades 5-12). Some positions are full time, but the majority are either Tuesday/Thursday or Wednesday/Friday teaching. These dynamic roles offer the opportunity to inspire scholars, foster a love of learning, and contribute to a vibrant academic community. Candidates will engage with diverse scholar populations, implement innovative curricula, and support students' academic and personal growth. Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards across various subjects. Biblical integration is required in all subjects. Incorporate learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance scholar understanding and participation. Design assessments, administer standardized testing, and analyze results to inform instruction. Provide mentorship and academic advising to support students' educational journeys and personal development. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and classroom management techniques. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and school initiatives. Support scholars with special education needs or those requiring additional literacy or childhood development assistance. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices, including MLA style, and others methods associated with BJU Press curriculum. Implement and adhere to the academy's No Excuses Model. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area; advanced degrees are a plus. Prior classroom experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of core subjects, religion/theology, technology, and electives. Ability to teach dual credit courses is a plus. Familiarity with learning technology platforms and digital tools for teaching and assessment. Excellent communication skills for effective public speaking, parent engagement, and team collaboration. Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities; private school and public school experience is advantageous. Skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, copy editing, and behavior management. Ability to mentor or assist students in sports coaching is a valued bonus but not a requirement.
