Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Elementary Math & G/T Interventionist to join our vibrant educational team. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering mathematical understanding and gifted/talented (G/T) development among elementary students. Your energetic approach will inspire learners to excel in math, critical thinking, and problem-solving while providing targeted support for students with diverse learning needs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners' academic journeys through innovative teaching strategies, curriculum development, and personalized mentorship. Responsibilities Design and implement engaging math lessons aligned with curriculum standards to challenge gifted students and support those needing intervention. Develop customized lesson plans that incorporate learning technology, literacy education, and hands-on activities to enhance student comprehension. Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions focused on math skills, standardized testing preparation, and early intervention strategies. Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate G/T and intervention strategies seamlessly into the broader curriculum. Utilize classroom management techniques to foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, participation, and respectful behavior. Monitor student progress through assessments, data analysis, and formative evaluations to tailor instruction effectively. Mentor students by promoting social-emotional growth, behavior management skills, and confidence in their abilities. Qualifications Proven classroom experience working with elementary-aged children in diverse educational settings. Strong knowledge of math concepts, literacy education, early childhood education, and childhood development principles. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and working with specialized populations such as students with autism or those in private school environments. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, parents, and community partners. Familiarity with learning technology tools, standardized testing procedures, and library services relevant to elementary education. Background in special education or early intervention programs is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability in classroom management, behavior management techniques, and mentoring young learners.
