00 per hour Job description: Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. Someone who is dependable, nurturing, and creative! They are responsible for maintaining professional relationships with staff and parents, adhere to all state guidelines, and the growth and development of their students. This role involves working with children to support their academic, social, and emotional development through engaging lesson plans and effective classroom management. Duties Teachers must be patient, have strong classroom management skills, show initiative, be well organized, be enthusiastic, a good communicator and willing to work in a team environment. Develop and implement curriculum that meets the educational needs of students. Create lesson plans that promote literacy education, math skills, and physical education. Utilize behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere. Provide individualized support for students with special education needs and early intervention strategies. Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all students. Conduct assessments and standardized testing to evaluate student progress. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development and classroom activities. Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children, ensuring their welfare at all times. Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience. Experience Qualified candidates must either have or obtain the following: At least 1 year experience teaching in a certified childcare center Be enrolled in the Oregon Criminal Registry Strong classroom experience with effective classroom management skills. Obtain the following trainings (within 30 days of hire):
  • Introduction to Childcare Health and Safety
  • Recognizing and Reporting child Abuse and Neglect
  • Safe Sleep for Oregon's Infants
  • Foundations of Learning Food Handlers Card (within 30 days of hire) CPR/First Aid (within 30 days of hire) Flexibility to work with all age groups (6 weeks to 12 years) Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
