After School Activity Leader

Job Summary We are seeking a responsible and enthusiastic After School Activity Leader to join our program. The ideal candidate will have some Golf playing experience, but a greater desire to coach young children in the basics of sport skill development across a number of sports (golf, lacrosse, volleyball & pickleball) in a fun, non-competitive class environment. Responsibilities Lead a 70-90 min after school class of 4-7 K-3rd students through 3-4 different Golf and other introductory sport stations. (High level golf playing or previous golf teaching experience is NOT required; we have a simple and tested curriculum designed for young children in this type of class environment.) Foster a safe and fun learning environment based on your previous sports coaching and/or childcare experience. (Classes take place outdoors on school grounds, usually a covered play area or a blacktop area next to the school.) Requirements Experience in youth sports coaching, childcare, or working with students in an educational capacity is highly desirable. Additional experience playing or coaching volleyball, lacrosse, tennis, or pickleball are considered a plus. Ability to engage with students of varying ages and athletic abilities while promoting a positive atmosphere. Available in the early afternoon at least 1 day per week. (Classes typically start around 2:30pm and end around 4:00pm and run one day per week for 4-6 week sessions in the Fall and Spring and there are Summer Camp opportunities for interested high school students.) Interested coaches would attend a coaches training at an actual class, undergo a free background check, and potentially start teaching a class in the next couple of weeks.
