Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic TSPC-licensed Middle School Science Teacher to inspire young learners and ignite their interest in the sciences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to design engaging lessons, guide students through scientific exploration, and contribute to a vibrant school community committed to academic excellence and personal growth. Responsibilities Implement comprehensive science curricula aligned with educational standards, emphasizing inquiry-based learning and scientific reasoning Deliver engaging lessons in biology, chemistry, physics, and earth sciences, incorporating hands-on experiments and real-world applications Manage classroom environments effectively to foster positive behavior, collaboration, and curiosity among students Assess student progress regularly through tests, projects, and presentations; provide constructive feedback to support growth Mentor students academically and personally, supporting their development as responsible and motivated learners Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or related field Valid state teaching license with appropriate endorsement (e.g., middle school science) Knowledge of adolescent development and middle school practices Preferred Master's degree in Education or Science-related field Experience teaching middle school students Experience with inquiry-based or project-based learning Familiarity with NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) Fluency in French (not required, but preferred) Instruction & Curriculum Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned science lessons (e.g., life, physical, and earth sciences) Use inquiry-based, hands-on, and project-based learning approaches Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including multilingual learners and students with IEPs/504 plans Align instruction with state standards and school curriculum frameworks Assessment & Data Use Implement formative and summative assessments Analyze student data to inform instruction and provide targeted support Provide timely, meaningful feedback to students and families Collaboration & Professional Responsibilities Collaborate with grade-level and subject-area teams Participate in professional learning communities (PLCs) and staff meetings Communicate regularly with families about student progress Engage in ongoing professional development Other Duties Supervise students during assigned duties (e.g., lunch, recess, hallway) Support school-wide initiatives and events Perform additional duties as assigned by administration Role reports to Principal. Pay:
