Full-Time, Monday-Friday Summary:

This position is responsible for the planning, preparation, and implementation of daily activities, ensuring a safe environment, monitoring the location and activity of the children in the group at all times, and supervising the Program Assistants and Assistant Group Supervisors.

Essential Functions:

Ensures proper cleanup and maintenance of toys, materials, and equipment daily Supports and adheres to the NPESC Program philosophy and policies Actively participates with children while on duty and encourages the children to participate in constructive activities during the program hours Maintains sensitivity and patience with children and parents and provides care to meet each child's needs Notifies the site director of any personnel or program problems or suggestions Maintains accurate and timely records, information, and communication with the parents Ensures compliance with all PA State Department of Human Services and Keystone Standards for child care programs Supervises the Program Assistants and Assistant Group Supervisors Ensures effective staffing, planning, and management of resources Required to attend 12 hours of training and 1 hour of fire safety training each year Completes accident reports as necessary and performs related duties as assigned by supervisor Education and/or

Certification Required:

Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field, which includes 30 credits in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or Human Services or equivalent as defined by the

Department of Human Services Experience Needed:

Documented experience with children preferred
