Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic 2026-2027 Health Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will design and deliver engaging health education lessons, promote healthy lifestyles, and support students' overall well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives as well as their families while developing your teaching expertise. Responsibilities Implement a comprehensive health curricula aligned with state standards, incorporating curriculum development best practices. Deliver engaging lessons on topics such as physical health, mental wellness, nutrition, and personal safety using innovative learning technology. Assess student progress through standardized testing, quizzes, and projects, providing constructive feedback. Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies. Mentor students on health-related issues, promoting healthy habits and lifestyle choices. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate health education into broader school programs, including sports coaching and physical education. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, participation, and performance for educational administration purposes. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Physical Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Prior classroom experience working with children or students in a school setting. Strong knowledge of health topics including childhood development, mental health, nutrition, and physical activity. Excellent communication skills for public speaking, tutoring, and engaging diverse learners. Familiarity with curriculum development tools and learning technology platforms. Experience in classroom management and behavior management techniques to foster a productive learning environment. Knowledge of PA standardized testing procedures and assessment strategies. African studies or experience /familiarity with African Centered Pedagogy is a plus but not required.
