Health insurance is not provided. The ideal candidate will be Christ-centered and have a strong background in early childhood education, classroom management, and curriculum development. This role involves guiding students through foundational math and phonics skills using the Abeka and Math-U-See Curriculums while supporting their social, emotional, and physical development. The K-2 Teacher will collaborate with colleagues, communicate effectively with parents, and implement innovative teaching strategies to promote a love of learning. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with Abeka curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills. Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence. Individualize teaching instruction to meet the needs of each student. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and individualized support. Assess student progress regularly using provided skill card and assessments. Mentor students in social-emotional skills, including communication skills and conflict resolution. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavioral reports for administrative purposes. Skills Proven experience working with young children in classroom settings Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff. Proficiency in lesson planning and classroom management techniques. Writing skills for documentation and parent communication; proofreading abilities are beneficial. Ability to mentor students academically and socially while fostering an inclusive and Christ-centered environment Team player and collaborates well
