QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelors degree in education, masters degree preferred 2. Maintain a positive, highly efficient, organized, professional and confidential manner in job execution 3. Knowledge and practical experience regarding basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office 4. Born again Christian who knows the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior (John 3:3, 1 Peter 1:23) Views the Bible as the only inerrant, infallible and inspired Word of God. (II Timothy 3:16). High moral character and good attendance record

POSITION OVERVIEW

Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES

1. Develops and implements plans for the curriculum program assigned and show written evidence of preparation as required 2. Presents the subject matter according to the guidelines established by Providence Academy 3. Plans and uses appropriate instructional/learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment 4. Cooperates with other members of the staff in planning and implementing instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to requirements 5. Consistently assess student achievement through formal and informal testing 6. Assumes responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned 7. Presents a positive role model for students that supports the mission of the school 8. Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the physical, social, spiritual, and emotional development of students. 9. Manages student behavior in the classroom and administers discipline according to the policies of PA 10. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities 11. Establishes and maintains open communications with students and parents 12. Maintains a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members 13. Participates in staff development program 14. Demonstrates interest and initiative in professional improvement 15. Demonstrates behavior that is professional, ethical, responsible, and Christ-like 16. Complies, maintains, and files all reports, records, and other documents required 17. Attends and participates in faculty meetings and serves on staff committees as required 18. Agree with the core values, statement of faith, and mission statement of Providence Academy 19.
