After school Teacher

We're looking for a dependable, energetic After School Teacher to join our team at Heritage Christian Daycare Center. You'll work with elementary-age children in our before- and after-school program — helping with homework, leading activities, and keeping things fun and safe. No childcare degree required; we'll train the right person. What you'll do Supervise and engage school-age children (ages 5-12) during before and after school hours Assist with homework time and lead structured activities and free play Maintain a safe, positive environment in accordance with DFPS standards Support daily check-in/check-out and parent communication via Brightwheel Complete required attendance and daily documentation What we're looking for High school diploma or GED required Experience with kids in any setting (coaching, tutoring, camp, childcare) is a plus — not required Responsible, patient, and good at keeping older kids engaged Reliable transportation and consistent afternoon availability (Monday-Friday) Must pass a Texas DFPS background check Must meet or be willing to obtain minimum Texas Chapter 746 pre-service training hours Why join us Part-time, weekday-only schedule — no nights, no weekends Supportive, faith-based team environment Training provided — a great entry point into early childhood education Well-established center with a strong reputation in the Alvin community
