Job Description

Guadalupe Regional Middle School (GRMS) is a unique and dynamic middle school actively seeking a highly skilled, passionate, educator to serve as Mathematics teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. As part of the NativityMiguel Coalition of Schools (www.nativitymiguel.org), GRMS is an all-scholarship school and serves students from low and modest- income families in grades six, seven, and eight. Founded in 2002, GRMS (www.guadalupeprep.org) is fully accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department (TCCED) and is founded by the Congregation of Christian Brothers, Marist Brothers of the Schools, and the Order of the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament. The teacher reports to the principal and is responsible for the creation of classroom curriculum, the delivery of instruction, and the evaluation of students. The school currently enrolls approximately 80 students with a maximum school size of 90 students. Individual class sizes range from 15-25 students. The Mathematics class is held daily, is 45 minutes long, and there would be four preparations for the three grade levels served. The full-time math teacher would instruct five sections of classes, with two planning/conference periods, and assigned supervision of students. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in content area, or Bachelor's degree with 18 credit hours in content area taught, or Bachelor's degree with state teacher certification 12 hours in education courses, or a valid, appropriate state certificate. Technology proficiency (word processing, spreadsheets, email, internet use, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education State teacher certification/licensure Experience working with economically at-risk youth Experience working with English Language Learners (ELL) Strong classroom management techniques, and student-centered lessons Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Bilingual-Spanish speaking Master's degree or pursuing a Master's degree in Education or related content field Interested candidates should submit a current resume , cover letter, copy of transcripts (unofficial or official), and a list of references with contact information to the school's President, Jennifer Rose.
