What you'll need to succeed: Hold an active Texas teaching license for the visually impaired. Experience developing and adapting materials for students with visual impairments is a plus. Key responsibilities include:

Delivering specialized instruction tailored to students with visual impairments, both individually and in small groups. Collaborating with classroom teachers and related service providers to adapt lessons and ensure accessibility. Conducting assessments to determine appropriate supports and accommodations for each student. Creating and implementing Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Serving as an advocate and resource for students, families, and school personnel. Keeping accurate records and monitoring student progress toward educational benchmarks.
