Position Summary Rivertree Academy is seeking an innovative, mission-driven STEM Project-Based Learning Teacher to serve as the third instructional leader in our upper elementary/middle school academic triad. This educator will play a foundational role in launching Rivertree's bridge into middle school through a dynamic instructional model that blends academic rigor, real-world learning, Biblical worldview integration, and student leadership development. This position is designed for an entrepreneurial educator who thrives in building something new, embraces flexibility, and believes that students learn best through authentic experiences, problem-solving, and meaningful community engagement. Teacher will support academic instruction during core classroom learning while leading immersive project-based STEM experiences that connect students to the city, industry experts, and real-world challenges. This role will help shape Rivertree's long-term middle school vision. |www.rivertreeacademy.org Primary Responsibilities Instructional Support & Differentiation (Monday / Wednesday / Friday) Serve as the third instructional leader within Rivertree's upper elementary/middle school triad by supporting differentiated academic instruction.Responsibilities include:
Push into mathematics instruction to provide targeted small-group teaching, intervention, enrichment, and differentiated support Support students performing above grade level with accelerated problem-solving and honors-level enrichment Support students requiring additional scaffolding and academic reinforcement Collaborate with the Lead Math Teacher and Lead ELA Teacher to analyze assessment data and group students strategically Assist with instructional planning that ensures all learners experience academic growth Reinforce executive functioning skills, organization, and independent learning habits Support intervention implementation in partnership with academic support staff Project-Based Learning Leadership (Tuesday / Thursday) Design and lead high-quality, standards-aligned STEM project-based learning experiences.Responsibilities include:
Develop interdisciplinary STEM projects grounded in Texas academic standards Design authentic learning experiences connected to real-world problems, industries, and community needs Lead project planning, timelines, student deliverables, exhibitions, and final presentations Facilitate inquiry-based instruction that encourages collaboration, research, innovation, and reflection Build hands-on learning experiences that develop critical thinking and creativity Integrate engineering design thinking, experimentation, problem-solving, and innovation Create systems for assessing project outcomes and student mastery Community Partnership Development Serve as Rivertree's connector between classroom learning and the broader community.Responsibilities include:
Identify and cultivate partnerships with museums, businesses, nonprofits, universities, agricultural partners, civic organizations, and STEM professionals Coordinate site-based learning opportunities for students Work with administration to organize logistics for off-campus learning experiences Build relationships with guest experts, mentors, and project partners Ensure partnerships are educationally meaningful, mission aligned, and student centered Potential examples: Botanical gardens Zoo education programs Rivertree Academy 5548 Kilpatrick Ave. Fort Worth, TX 76107 |P 817-420-9310

Integrate Biblical worldview naturally into STEM inquiry and problem-solving Help students connect learning to stewardship, justice, creativity, service, and leadership Foster collaboration, resilience, ownership, and perseverance Support student mentorship between grade levels Participate in morning circles, discipleship moments, and community-building efforts Reinforce Rivertree's student culture expectations Curriculum Design & Innovation As this is a launch position, this teacher will help shape the model.Responsibilities include:
Build systems, frameworks, and instructional routines for Rivertree's evolving middle school program Collaborate in refining the upper elementary/middle school model Recommend curricular resources, STEM materials, and instructional tools Help create a scalable model for future middle school expansion Document successful practices for replication Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Education Valid teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain certification) Demonstrated success teaching upper elementary or middle school students Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills Ability to differentiate instruction for varied academic levels Commitment to Christian education and Biblical worldview integration Strong communication and collaboration skills Flexibility, creativity, and entrepreneurial mindset Preferred Experience with Project-Based Learning (Buck Institute/PBLWorks training preferred) Experience in STEM curriculum development Experience leading interdisciplinary projects Rivertree Academy 5548 Kilpatrick Ave. Fort Worth, TX 76107 |P 817-420-9310
