In this vital role, you will create a nurturing and engaging environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth for elementary-aged children. As a Lead Teacher, you will implement engaging curriculum, provide leadership in the classroom, collaborate with families, and ensure a safe, structured, and supportive after-school experience. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans covering literacy, math, physical education, and enrichment activities. Create a safe, respectful classroom using positive behavior management techniques. Supervise and engage children in after-school activities, homework assistance, and structured play. Monitor and assess student progress; adjust instruction to support individual learning needs. Support children with diverse learning styles, including those requiring additional guidance or early intervention. Oversee daily classroom operations and ensure child safety at all times. Safely transport children when required (bus driving responsibilities). Maintain open and professional communication with parents regarding student progress and behavior. Collaborate with team members to ensure program excellence and compliance with licensing standards. Qualifications Minimum 1 year experience in childcare, after-school programs, preschool, or daycare settings. Strong understanding of child development and classroom management techniques. Experience in lesson planning and curriculum implementation. Ability to work with children with diverse learning needs. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Must meet state requirements for childcare professionals. Valid driver's license and clean driving record (for bus driving).
Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
