Job Description
Overview:
Located in Fort Bend County, serving Sugar Land and Richmond, TX, Calvary Episcopal Preparatory provides a superior education while inspiring Reverence for God, Respect for others, and Responsibility for self. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Studies Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching advanced Social Studies courses and a strong commitment to fostering an engaging, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating learning environment. We welcome applications from recently retired educators who continue to have a passion for teaching. Educators who have recently retired and maintain a strong dedication to education are eligible to continue receiving TRS (Teacher Retirement System) benefits while employed with us.Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum
- Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Provide mentorship and support to students
- Manage classroom behavior effectively
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development
- Administer and grade assessments to evaluate student progress
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in History or related field; Master's degree is a plus
- Teaching certification in Social Studies
- AP certified is a plus
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques
- Strong research skills for enhancing educational content
- Knowledge of education administration and curriculum development

$45,000.00- $55,000.
