Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant team as an After School/Summer Camp Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire children to learn, grow, and thrive! In this dynamic role, you will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children during after-school hours and summer programs. Your energy and creativity will help foster a positive atmosphere that promotes childhood development, social skills, and fun-filled learning experiences. Responsibilities Supervise children during after-school activities and summer camp sessions, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and facilitate age-appropriate educational activities, games, arts and crafts, sports coaching, theater performances, and other engaging programs Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies Provide first aid when necessary, following safety protocols to address minor injuries or health concerns Support children with special needs by implementing individualized accommodations in collaboration with specialists or parents Foster a supportive environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and inclusivity among children of diverse backgrounds Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise during program hours Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, camp counseling, or early childhood education is highly preferred Strong classroom management skills to maintain an organized and positive learning environment Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in elementary education and/or special education are a plus Ability to engage children through creative activities like theater or sports coaching while ensuring safety standards are met Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth in a nurturing setting This role is ideal for energetic individuals eager to make a difference in children's lives while gaining valuable experience in education and childcare. $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
