Job Description

The Onward Afterschool and Summer Program at Williamstown Schools and Bridges Afterschool and Summer Program at Northfield Schools run from July 6th to August 7th, from 8:00-3:00 daily. The programs are seeking Teacher/Facilitator staff to join our team in a full or part time capacity for the duration of the summer program. Onward and Bridges provide year-round enrichment programs for students, which may include Outdoor Learning, Physical Education, Arts and Crafts, CTE and more. We are looking for candidates that have a passion for working with young people in their community and being a positive role model. The ideal candidate should have the following knowledge and skills: Experience working with school-aged children Comfortable with leading activities and managing student behaviors as needed Willingness to work closely with other staff Communicative with the Site Coordinator and other after school admin Flexibility in handling situations that may arise Must be able to commit to a full-week schedule (Mon-Fri). Must be available from 8:30-12:00 on days scheduled. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Ensure a safe, dynamic, and engaging learning environment for students Plan and submit enrichment programs that identify learning goals, activities, and materials to be delivered to about 10-15 students, over the duration of the summer program. Communicate with Program Assistant regarding need for support with student attendance and participation, project materials, and classroom organization Identify opportunities to showcase student work and learning in collaboration with Site Coordinator Provide student behavior management support as needed Understand and implement safety protocols Assess and administer basic first-aid Complete all other tasks as required
Pay:
$17.00 - $25.00 per hour
