Position Overview The Middle School STEM Teacher is responsible for cultivating a dynamic, Christ-centered learning environment that integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This teacher will inspire students to explore God's creation through inquiry, critical thinking, and hands-on problem-solving while supporting their academic, spiritual, and personal growth. Key Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum Develop and deliver engaging STEM lessons aligned with school standards and mission Integrate biblical principles and a Christian worldview into STEM instruction Utilize project-based learning, labs, and collaborative activities Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs Incorporate technology effectively to enhance learning Student Development Foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills Encourage ethical use of science and technology grounded in Christian values Support students' spiritual formation through prayer, mentorship, and example Maintain a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment Assessment & Communication Assess student progress through formative and summative methods Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and parents Maintain accurate records of grades and student performance Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress Collaboration & School Community Collaborate with faculty to support interdisciplinary learning Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events Contribute to extracurricular activities such as STEM clubs, robotics, or science fairs Partner with families and church community to support student growth Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM field, or related discipline Valid teaching certification (state-specific preferred) Experience teaching middle school students preferred Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of STEM content and instructional strategies Ability to integrate faith and learning authentically Effective classroom management skills Strong communication and organizational abilities Passion for working with middle school students Spiritual Requirements A personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ Agreement with the school's statement of faith Commitment to modeling Christian character and values in all interactions Work Environment Classroom setting with occasional lab and outdoor activities Participation in school events, chapel, and community activities Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and engage actively in classroom and lab settings Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (equipment/materials) Compensation & Benefits Salary commensurate with experience and education How to Apply Please submit our application form, which you can access and email it to
