Cascadia School is seeking an Afterschool Teacher to lead our afternoon program with a focus on student engagement, safety, and classroom management. In this role, you will ensure the after-school hours are a seamless and productive extension of the school day, fostering an environment where students explore their interests through play and structured activities. The Role Cascadia School is seeking an After School Teacher to lead our afternoon program with a focus on student engagement, safety, and classroom management. In this role, you will ensure the after-school hours are a seamless and productive extension of the school day, fostering an environment where students explore their interests through play and structured activities. You aren't just supervising; you are a mentor and facilitator of growth. Whether you are developing creative programming or managing daily logistics like snacks and safety protocols, you ensure every student is supported socially and emotionally. You play a key role in maintaining a positive, organized space that reflects Cascadia's values throughout the entire school day. The ideal candidate is a natural collaborator who can balance the practicalities of safety and logistics with the joy of creative student engagement. Breakdown of What You'll Do Student Engagement & Creative Programming (50%) Develop and lead creative programming designed to inspire growth and learning. Facilitate a sense of discovery through hands-on activities, crafts, and homework support. Supervise indoor and outdoor play, ensuring a balance of high engagement and student safety. Classroom Operations & Safety (30%) Manage classroom dynamics and strictly follow all school safety protocols. Ensure school facilities are maintained well and set for the following school day. Record attendance accurately and organize daily after-school snacks. Collaboration & Community (20%) Maintain open lines of communication with the After School Program Coordinator and teaching staff regarding student progress or needs. Cultivate authentic relationships with students, their families, and your coworkers. Operate with a team mindset, assisting on various tasks to ensure all work is completed for the school's success. Salary and Benefits Pay:
$18- 22 per hour, monthly pay.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, generally 2:30pm to 6:15pm, on-site at Redmond campus (following the academic calendar).Contract Term:
August 24, 2026- June 11, 2027, with potential to extend into summer 2027 programs.
