We are passionate about providing high-quality youth development opportunities to children across Milwaukee. Job Overview We are seeking energetic and dedicated Youth Program Group Leaders to inspire and supervise children during our afterschool and summer programs. In this role, you will lead groups of children through educational and recreational activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and fun environment. Your enthusiasm and leadership will help foster teamwork, personal growth, and a love for learning.
Grade Levels:
Kindergarten through 8th grade Program Dates /Times:
Afterschool programming operates 2:00-5:30pm through June 12th, and summer programming operated 7:30am-5:30pm June 22 - July 31Type of Employment:
Part-time, non-exemptCompensation:
$16-18 per hour, commensurate with experience Responsibilities Maintain reliable attendance to ensure participants have a consistent mentor Supervise and engage children in a broad variety of activities, including educational recreational, arts, community service projects, and weekly field trips Promote positive youth development Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all participants Manage group behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support a collaborative environment Maintain accurate records, including attendance rosters, time cards, incident reports, etc. Skills Strong classroom management skills to maintain an organized and respectful environment Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare programs Background in education or early childhood education is a plus Bilingual abilities (English and Spanish) are preferred Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, and team members Familiarity with behavior management techniques and childhood development principles Requirements At least 18 years of age Completed high school or its equivalent Pass a fingerprint background check, as required by DCF Complete DCF-required trainins (CPR, Mandated Reporter, etc.) prior to beginning work Join us this summer to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while developing your leadership skills in a dynamic environment!Interested candidates must apply online:

Contar con formación o experiencia previa en educación o educación infantil es una ventaja. Se prefiere que sea bilingüe (inglés y español). Excelentes habilidades de comunicación para interactuar con estudiantes, padres y miembros del equipo. Familiaridad con técnicas de manejo de la conducta y principios del desarrollo infantil. Requisitos Tener al menos 18 años de edad. Haber completado la escuela secundaria (High School) o su equivalente. Aprobar una verificación de antecedentes mediante huellas dactilares, según lo exige el DCF (Departamento de Niños y Familias).
