This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to foster a love of learning across diverse age groups, from early childhood to middle school. As a vital part of our educational team, you will create engaging lesson plans, support student development, and promote a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and growth. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a passion for teaching to help students thrive academically and socially. Duties Develop and implement innovative curriculum plans tailored to summer learning objectives, incorporating educational technology and age-appropriate activities. Deliver engaging lessons in core subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques. Provide personalized tutoring and mentoring to students needing additional support, including those with special education needs or autism spectrum disorder. Assess student progress through formative and standardized testing, adjusting instruction accordingly to meet individual learning needs. Collaborate with colleagues to design inclusive activities that promote early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones. Maintain detailed records of student attendance, performance, and behavioral observations while ensuring compliance with education administration standards. Qualifications Proven classroom experience working with children across various age groups in educational settings such as private schools or early intervention programs. Strong writing skills, communication skills, and the ability to develop clear lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Familiarity with learning technology tools, literacy education strategies, math instruction methods, and library services is preferred. Experience working with individuals with autism or special education needs is highly desirable. Knowledge of Montessori or other alternative educational philosophies is a plus. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a supportive environment for all students. Certification or licensing related to early childhood education or teaching credentials in the relevant state is required.
