Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Teacher for a multi-grade classroom of 6th through 8th graders. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment for young learners, utilizing innovative teaching methods to engage students. This role requires a commitment to nurturing each child's academic and social development while implementing effective classroom management strategies. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with required WV curriculum standards for 6th through 8th graders. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation. Utilize behavior management techniques to maintain discipline and promote positive behavior. Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations. Provide early intervention strategies for students who require additional support. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities. Mentor students in their academic pursuits, helping them set goals and achieve success. Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance teaching practices and share resources. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. West Virginia Teaching Certification. Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of early intervention techniques to support diverse learning needs. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff. Proficiency in classroom management strategies to create a conducive learning environment. A passion for literacy education and the ability to inspire a love for reading among students. Commitment to mentoring young learners and fostering their personal growth.
