Job Description

Job Overview The Martha's Vineyard Camp Meeting Association (MVCMA) is seeking a mission-driven, organized, and community-oriented Spiritual Life Program Coordinator for the 2026 summer season. As a National Historic Landmark and faith-based community, MVCMA is dedicated to perpetuating our religious and historical heritage while engaging all in education and spiritual growth within a welcoming environment. The Spiritual Life Program Manager plays a central role in strengthening the spiritual vitality of the Campground during a season of thoughtful growth and renewed vision. This is a paid, full-time summer position (approximately 33 hours per week for 13 weeks, June through August or early September, with slight flexibility in start and end dates). It is an ideal opportunity for someone with leadership potential in ministry who is eager to contribute meaningfully to a historic and evolving faith community. What You'll Do Report to the General Manager while supporting and advancing MVCMA's summer Spiritual Life programming. Assist in coordinating and executing weekly Sunday worship services in the Tabernacle, working closely with Buildings & Grounds, Audio/Visual/Broadcast staff, the Spiritual Life Committee, and volunteers to ensure each service is conducted with precision and professionalism. Oversee the operational elements common to live event management, including volunteer coordination, stage setup, sound checks, rehearsals, audio/visual preparation and testing, preparation and distribution of printed materials, and oversight of the run of show. Serve as the primary liaison for weekly visiting clergy and speakers, coordinating travel, lodging, and local transportation arrangements in collaboration with the Spiritual Life Committee and General Manager, and ensuring guests feel welcomed and supported. Assist in planning and conducting weekly Bible Studies, led either by the visiting preacher or the Spiritual Life Program Manager. Manage the volunteer calendar and assist in recruiting and coordinating volunteers. Edit and post live-streamed services to the MVCMA website and YouTube channel and organize and edit the weekly worship bulletin. Support the promotion and growth of Spiritual Life programming through thoughtful use of digital media, including oversight of website updates, YouTube content, and social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Coordinate the distribution of posters and flyers throughout the Island to expand awareness and attendance. Attend weekly program staff meetings and collaborate across departments to ensure alignment with broader seasonal goals. This role calls for initiative, thoughtful leadership, strong organizational skills, and a genuine passion for community-building within a faith-based setting. Schedule This is a 13-week seasonal position, approximately 33 hours per week, primarily June through August (or early September). The schedule includes Sundays, select evenings, and flexibility based on program needs and special events. What We're Looking For A strong personal faith and a desire to share God's love through service and community engagement. Experience in project management, marketing, or social media preferred. Strong interpersonal confidence and the ability to connect easily with individuals of all ages. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as a self-starter who demonstrates leadership and initiative. Experience with social media content creation and general computer proficiency. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, including the ability to prepare digital and print worship materials and promotional content.
