Assist in the safety and security of Texas Science & Natural History Museum by monitoring and protecting visitors, exhibitions, building, and grounds. Provide clear guidance, direction, and information to ensure that all visitors have a positive and welcoming experience.?Provide knowledge of museum amenities, exhibitions, and events to visitors. (25%) Document and report observed physical interactions with exhibits and collections by visitors, and address any inappropriate behavior in a confident, calm, and friendly manner. Report any missing, damaged objects, or unusual conditions to supervisors. Report any irregularities pertaining to building operations, safety, or fire hazards. (20%) Follow museum policies and security procedures to assist in the opening and closing of the museum, daily operations, and during special events. Assist with set-up of furniture and other equipment as needed for events. Actively participate in training programs to improve knowledge of the museum, security best practices, and customer service skills.?(20%) Operate freight elevator and manual warehouse equipment and work as a team member to set up furniture and equipment for events; complete other manual duties as assigned. (20%) Serve as initial responder in the event of an emergency, know evacuation procedures and routes, contacting a supervisor when appropriate. Act in a calm and decisive manner in assisting in the evacuation of the public and staff from the building during fire alarms or other emergencies. (10%) Other duties as assigned (5%)Pay:
