Job Description

This vacancy is for a GS-0301-14, Deputy Director National Coast Guard Museum located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, COAST
GUARD MUSEUM DIVISION -CG-09241
in WASHINGTON, District of Columbia.
Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS- 14 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Developing long-term plans, policies, and goals for a large museum or military organization, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and ethical standards; Oversee budgets and contracts that support museum operations. Overseeing the acquisition, conservation, and care/curation of items, ensuring they meet professional standards for operations, exhibition and or research. Representing museums or military organizations to the public, government, and media, fostering partnerships with cultural and academic institutions. Recruiting, mentoring, and managing staff and operations within a museum to create a productive work culture.
