Chair

The Department of History and Philosophy in the College of Liberal Arts is accepting applications for the Chair position. Provide leadership and oversight of the department's academic programs. Oversee curriculum design and assessment review. Support and foster student success including recruitment, retention. and graduation initiatives. Develop and implement long-term goals. Manage departmental budget(s), scheduling of courses and allocate funding resources. Terminal degree (Ph.D.) in History and Philosophy or related field. Experience as an academic administrator, coordinator, or director with a proven record of publications and experience with external funding. Candidate should possess qualifications consistent with an appointment at the level of Associate Professor.
