Job Description Christ Church Alexandria seeks a full-time Director of Children & Youth, helping us to nurture children ages 0-18 years and lead them in learning the Christian Episcopal faith. The candidate we seek is an organized and supportive team member with clear communication skills and a deep sense of calling to ministry with children and service to God. While this position is conceived as a lay position, we will consider an ordained candidate that is committed to working with children. The Director actively leads, directs, and supports ministries with parish children, nursery through fifth grade, and youth, sixth through twelfth grade, including Sunday School, nursery care, seasonal programming, special events, and occasional weekend overnights. The Director will be an experienced, creative, and energetic individual who loves children and works well with a staff team, understands how to lead volunteers, and displays maturity, grace, and welcome.
