Full Job Description Arise AZ Tutor &Teacher Information Responsibilities:
Teachers provide in-home instruction and support students and their individual learning needs. For musical instruments, we are looking for teachers who play the drums and /or give lessons. The instructor must be proficient on their primary instrument and able to demonstrate effective teaching techniques for children. A working knowledge of basic music theory is a plus along with the ability to teach fundamental skills and proper technique specific to the instrument. Music teachers will help students practice their instruments and learn new material based on their level. Teacher training is provided if necessary.
Hours/Schedule:
Teachers are able to make their own hours and schedule with families that have expressed interest in music lessons. We let teachers know what opportunities are available and they can accept or deny the specific teaching opportunity. For example, a family might be looking for a drum teacher for an hour once a week during after-school hours and we would offer the opportunity to music teachers. We require a semester-long commitment, and teachers work as 1099 independent contractors who must sign an employment agreement. This role allows for teaches to create their own schedule and is a part time position.
Location Expectations:
Teachers must be willing to travel to students' homes for lessons. While we make every effort to keep locations close, instructors may choose which teaching opportunities to accept. As an independent contractor, teachers may track milage for end-of-year tax purposes.
Licenses:
No license required.
Degree Requirement:
Teachers must have a high school degree.
Music Experience:
Teachers must be proficient on their instrument and understand basic music theory. Final candidates will submit a brief (1 minute) video demonstrating their playing.
Teacher Cancellation Policy:
If you plan to be out of town or are sick, please let us know as soon as possible. We can help you reschedule your lesson with the family/student you are teaching or find a substitute for you if needed. Compensation for
