Piano Teaching Full Job Description Job Summary:
Private piano studio in Phoenix is seeking a highly qualified piano instructor to join as a part-time teacher, with the potential to grow into a long-term full-time role. This position is best suited for a classically trained pianist who values high-quality instruction and enjoys working with young beginners through advanced students in a private studio setting. This role is intended to be a long-term teaching partnership with opportunities for growth, performance-based compensation increases, and student retention incentives.
Responsibilities:
Teach private piano lessons to students of all ages and levels Strong focus on young beginners (especially ages 4-6) Develop strong classical piano technique and musicianship in students Maintain consistent teaching quality aligned with studio expectations Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress Support student retention and long-term development
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Piano Performance (preferred) Strong classical piano background (required) Ability to demonstrate advanced piano playing and technique Experience teaching private lessons preferred Strong ability to work with young children Professional, reliable, and communicative
Schedule:
Part-time to start Potential to increase to full-time based on mutual agreement and studio growth
Compensation:
$30-$40 per hour starting rate (based on experience) Performance-based rate increase after 3 months Student retention incentives (for students retained 6+ months)
